Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Monitoring: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment during the night shift.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols, ensuring patient safety and privacy.
- Collaborative Care: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) reflecting patient conditions, interventions, and outcomes.
- Crisis Management: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations, demonstrating advanced clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; PALS or TNCC preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in using electronic medical records.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
