Responsibilities

  • Monitor Patient Status: Continuously assess vital signs, symptoms, and medical conditions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Medication Administration: Accurately administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • Critical Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the wider healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient care, medications, and changes in condition.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to code blue alerts and medical emergencies within the unit.
  • Hygiene & Comfort: Assist patients with daily living activities to ensure dignity and comfort during the night shift.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
  • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
