Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Status: Continuously assess vital signs, symptoms, and medical conditions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Critical Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the wider healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient care, medications, and changes in condition.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to code blue alerts and medical emergencies within the unit.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Assist patients with daily living activities to ensure dignity and comfort during the night shift.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, preferably in an acute care setting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Technology Proficiency: Ability to navigate electronic medical records systems efficiently.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
