Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records and patient charts in compliance with hospital policies.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies and critical situations, utilizing advanced life support skills when necessary.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment.
- Education: Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, procedures, and home care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; PALS preferred depending on unit.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, with specific experience in telemetry or critical care highly valued.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work night shifts (Variable Shifts).
