Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders and established hospital protocols.
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, including hygiene, ambulation, and comfort measures.
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, ensuring all documentation is accurate.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and code blue activations.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred (New grads welcome with internship).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively during night shifts.
