Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor vital signs to ensure high-quality care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) in strict compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and critical situations using advanced clinical judgment.
- Collaboration: Work seamlessly with physicians, pharmacists, and nursing staff to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Health Education: Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and preventative health measures.
- Quality Assurance: Adhere to hospital protocols and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred; night shift experience is a plus.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously.
