Responsibilities
- Assess & Monitor: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to identify changes in condition immediately.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments while adhering to strict hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Emergency Response: Rapidly respond to medical emergencies, providing critical care and stabilizing patients until additional support arrives.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) detailing patient care, treatments, and responses.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, physicians, and patients' families to coordinate care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on post-discharge care, medication management, and health maintenance strategies.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas (TX).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; PALS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and time management skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Technology: Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and medical equipment.
