Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status, formulate individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients' conditions continuously, identifying changes in status, and reporting significant findings to the healthcare team immediately.
- Provide emotional support and comprehensive education to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient environment to prevent infections and accidents.
- Document patient care services, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Florida Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make sound, quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as required.
