Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments to monitor patient conditions and identify changes in health status promptly.
- Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and on schedule, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain precise and timely electronic health records (EHR) to ensure continuity of care and legal compliance.
- Emergency Response: Respond rapidly to emergency situations, including code blues and trauma events, utilizing critical thinking and teamwork.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care plans and health maintenance strategies.
- Collaborative Care: Communicate effectively with the day shift team and interdisciplinary staff to ensure seamless patient handoffs.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency with electronic medical records, and excellent communication abilities.
- Attributes: High emotional intelligence, ability to work independently, and a passion for night-shift nursing.
