Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and clinical indicators, promptly reporting any deviations to the charge nurse.
- Facilitate effective communication during shift handoffs and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide patient and family education regarding care plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance.
- Assist with triage and emergency response during critical night shift situations.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining a collaborative team dynamic.
- Night shift availability required (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
