Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Conduct thorough assessments and continuous monitoring of patients' conditions throughout the night shift.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and state regulations.
- Crisis Management: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including vital signs, care plans, and medication logs.
- Collaborative Care: Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, physicians, and patients' families to ensure holistic care.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection prevention and control measures to ensure a safe environment for all.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Nevada State Board of Nursing.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required. PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred.
- Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
