Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical and psychological needs upon admission and throughout the shift to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established medical protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions continuously, documenting any changes or abnormalities immediately.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless continuity of care and patient safety.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and initiate appropriate life-saving measures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed throughout the shift.
- Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
