Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any abnormalities to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document all findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during the night shift.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist with code blue situations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as required.
- Commitment to professional development and adherence to nursing standards.
