Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status continuously, promptly reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other departments to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Participate in shift handovers and unit rounds to maintain clear communication and safety.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all infection control policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team during night shifts.
- Commitment to professional development and strict adherence to HIPAA regulations.
