Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in accordance with evidence-based practice and physician orders.
- Administer medications and treatments with strict adherence to safety protocols, double-checking all dosages and allergies.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions continuously, identifying changes and escalating critical issues to the Charge Nurse or Medical Director immediately.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and promptly in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including therapists, pharmacists, and physicians, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding discharge planning and ongoing health management.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure during high-volume night shifts.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods as required by patient care duties.
