Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to the night shift environment.
- Administer medications and treatments with precision, adhering to all hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor vital signs and patient status continuously to ensure immediate response to any changes in condition.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary night shift team to ensure seamless patient handovers.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Advocate for patient safety and comfort, acting as the primary point of contact for patients and families during the night hours.
- Respond immediately to emergent situations, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment to stabilize patients.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Minnesota.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a high-pressure environment.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.
