Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously throughout the night shift.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with the day shift team and physicians to ensure seamless patient continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Respond immediately to patient emergencies and code blue situations.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or critical care setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night hours.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient privacy standards.
