Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical conditions continuously throughout the night shift.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond immediately to emergency codes and critical incidents to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Provide emotional support and health education to patients and their families.
- Adhere to all infection control and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Louisiana.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, with acute care experience being a plus.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively during the night shift schedule.
