Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs, develop, and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and neurological status continuously during the night shift.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and initiate appropriate life-saving measures.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Louisiana.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, with critical care experience a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
