As a Night Shift RN, you will play a pivotal role in stabilizing patient conditions, ensuring continuity of care, and providing compassionate support to patients and their families when others are resting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and formulate individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and state regulations.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond immediately to emergent medical situations.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Provide patient education and support to families during the night shift.
Qualifications
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Commitment to patient safety and HIPAA compliance.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
