Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with hospital protocols and nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians while strictly adhering to safety guidelines.
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical conditions continuously throughout the night shift.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, pharmacists, and therapists, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, assessments, and care interventions.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical care situations with a calm and decisive approach.
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions and discharge planning.
Qualifications
- License: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in electronic health record systems (EHR).
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
