We are looking for a Night Shift Registered Nurse who is detail-oriented, empathetic, and ready to provide world-class healthcare to our community.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider, ensuring accurate dosage and timing.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes or abnormalities immediately to the charge nurse.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) per hospital policy.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment to prevent accidents and infections.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nebraska.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, with ICU or Med-Surg experience a plus.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse patients and staff.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently during shifts.
