Job Summary:
As an RN on the night shift, you will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of life for our patients during the night hours.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and monitor and evaluate patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor vital signs and recognize changes in patient conditions to ensure timely intervention.
- Document patient care services using electronic health records (EHR) accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and home care instructions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Nebraska.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred, including night shift experience.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
