Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Monitor patient health and administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Assessment & Documentation: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and maintain accurate, timely electronic health records (EHR) and documentation.
- Critical Thinking: Respond rapidly to critical situations, including emergencies, ensuring patient safety and rapid intervention.
- Collaborative Care: Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Education & Support: Educate patients and families on post-discharge care plans and health maintenance.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to hospital hygiene and infection control standards to protect patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States (PA or NY preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (ICU/Telemetry experience highly preferred).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and time management skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients weighing up to 250 lbs for extended periods.
