Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with nursing standards and hospital protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and patient safety.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions continuously throughout the night shift to identify and respond to any changes immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, pharmacists, and therapists, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Respond to code blue and emergency situations promptly and follow established emergency protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, preferably in a hospital or medical-surgical setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required by patient care duties.
- Must be willing to work flexible night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
