Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs throughout the night shift.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Respond promptly to code blue alerts and critical patient situations with a calm, professional demeanor.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, LPNs, and CNAs, to ensure seamless patient continuity of care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Arizona.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred (ICU/Telemetry experience a plus).
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed; must be able to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
