Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor patients' conditions continuously, identifying changes in status and notifying the appropriate medical staff immediately.
- Document all patient care activities, including assessments, medications administered, and responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient and family education regarding disease processes, medications, and discharge planning.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit environment.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license to practice in the state of Arizona.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification and ACLS certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment during night shifts.
- Commitment to the highest standards of patient safety and privacy (HIPAA compliance).
