Responsibilities
- Compassionate Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients in a calm, focused night shift environment.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vital signs and physiological parameters, identifying trends and intervening promptly.
- Medication Administration: Safely and accurately administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and the nursing process.
- Collaborative Practice: Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, physicians, and patients/families to ensure holistic care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies to ensure a secure environment.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of California.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred; medical-surgical or telemetry experience is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Adaptability: Ability to work autonomously and make critical decisions during night hours.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
