Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and in a timely manner, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and hemodynamic status, promptly escalating any critical changes to the charge nurse or provider.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, assessments, and interventions in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, pharmacists, and therapists, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding disease processes, medications, and discharge planning.
Qualifications
- Current, active California Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience (ICU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry preferred).
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-functioning night shift team.
