Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessment and care planning for diverse patient populations during night shift hours
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while maintaining detailed electronic health records
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism and evidence-based interventions
- Mentor new staff and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and regulatory standards
- Participate in shift handovers with clear communication of patient status and care plans
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina RN license with no disciplinary actions
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in hospital setting
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proven expertise in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently during night shifts
- Strong critical thinking skills and clinical judgment
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
