Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Status: Conduct thorough assessments and continuous monitoring of patient vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Crisis Management: Respond immediately to medical emergencies and critical events with decisive clinical judgment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and complete electronic health records (EHR) reflecting patient care provided.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team during shift handoffs and care planning meetings.
- Patient Advocacy: Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance strategies.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in unit rounds and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, time management, and interpersonal communication skills.
