Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes and safety.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to established protocols and physician orders.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Documentation: Accurately and timely document patient history, symptoms, and responses to treatment in electronic health records.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and utilize critical thinking to resolve complex clinical situations.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or eligible for licensure via compact state agreement.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital or medical facility setting is preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy and team collaboration.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the unit.
