Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care during the night shift. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs throughout the night shift.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with physician orders.
- Document patient care activities, assessments, and changes in condition in the electronic health record (EHR) promptly.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust individualized patient care plans.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff regarding patient conditions and care instructions.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and administer appropriate interventions as needed.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, with strong proficiency in critical care or medical-surgical nursing.
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing night shift team.
