Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, monitoring vital signs and administering medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist with patient assessments, including collecting samples and documenting patient history accurately in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and disease management.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations within the unit.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff development activities.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ADN, BSN, or Diploma).
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new medical technologies and procedures.
