Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Staff: Provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed preceptors and charge nurses.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Medication Administration: Learn to prepare and administer medications as directed by physicians and charge nurses.
- Patient Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and patient charts.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict hospital protocols to prevent the spread of infection.
Qualifications
- Education: Must be a recent graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing).
- Licensure: Active or pending state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Florida (FL).
- Current Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
- Computer Literacy: Basic proficiency with computer systems and electronic medical records.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
