Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, monitoring vital signs and administering medications as directed by physicians and charge nurses.
- Assess patient needs and develop appropriate nursing care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document patient symptoms, reactions, and progress accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in shift handovers and report any changes in patient status immediately.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Louisiana.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred, but not mandatory for this entry-level role).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (training provided).
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine passion for patient-centered care.
