Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Monitor patient vital signs and medical conditions to ensure high-quality care and safety.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all assigned patients.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and support staff to coordinate patient care plans.
- Emergency Response: Assist in emergency situations and follow hospital emergency protocols efficiently.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on post-care instructions, disease management, and health promotion.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New York State Department of Education.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient-centric care.
- Compassion: Strong empathy and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using hospital information systems and electronic medical records.
