Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor health status and identify changes in condition.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient data, care plans, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in code blue situations.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on treatment plans, disease management, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Active License: Valid RN license issued by the State of Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
- Graduation Year: Must be within the last 12 months or actively enrolled in a preceptorship program.
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers is required.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Ability to provide empathetic care to patients and families.
