Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and behavior changes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities and mobility.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Respond to emergency situations and assist in code blue or trauma situations as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Active, unencumbered RN or LPN license (depending on entry level).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume healthcare setting.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with electronic health records.
