Responsibilities
- Provide specialized oncology nursing care including chemotherapy administration and symptom management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess treatment response
- Educate patients and families on cancer therapies and side effect management
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Participate in tumor board meetings and quality improvement initiatives
- Administer medications and treatments per established protocols
Qualifications
- Current Tennessee RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Oncology certification (OCN) or willingness to obtain within 12 months
- Minimum 2 years acute care oncology experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with electronic health records (EPIC preferred)
