Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status through history taking, physical exams, and diagnostic tests.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vitals and report any changes in condition to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide patient education and health promotion counseling to patients and families.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Tennessee.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred based on unit specialty.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred, but new graduates may be considered.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
