Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status, administer medications, and provide direct patient care according to physician orders.
- Document patient care activities and vital signs accurately and in a timely manner within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively, following hospital protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and visitors.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and nursing rounds.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification required (or willing to obtain).
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Proficient in electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
