Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care plans, progress notes, and medical histories in the EHR system.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide compassionate patient education and health promotion counseling to patients and their families.
- Respond promptly to patient inquiries and manage clinical emergencies within scope of practice.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance standards (HIPAA, JCAHO).
Qualifications
- Current and active North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
