Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, interventions, and medical records in the EHR system.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, medication regimens, and preventive care strategies.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and adapt quickly to changing patient conditions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental rounds to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) considered with relevant experience.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as necessary.
