Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and nursing standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatments, escalating concerns immediately to the healthcare team.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, procedures, and home care instructions.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and critical situations.
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
