Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Administer medications and treatments while strictly adhering to safety protocols and hospital policies.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses and post-care instructions.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist with triage as needed.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by the department.
