Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with clinical protocols and standards
- Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and monitor vital signs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols
- Supervise nursing staff and provide mentorship as needed
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas (or compact state license)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- ACLS/BLS certification required (PALS preferred for specialty areas)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in acute care setting
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (EPIC preferred)
