Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, documenting all findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
- Respond to medical emergencies with composure and efficiency, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit in compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an RN (preferred for specialty roles).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and diverse healthcare teams.
- Ability to perform under pressure in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems (EMR/EHR).
