Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document patient vital signs and cardiac conditions
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams for comprehensive treatment plans
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health management
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid intervention protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (Epic systems)
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Maryland (or compact state)
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
- 2+ years acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with cardiac monitoring equipment
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (day/night rotations)
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
