Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced cardiology setting including post-op monitoring and critical interventions
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using Epic systems
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina RN license (or compact license with NC endorsement)
- BSN degree required; MSN or BSN with 2+ years cardiology experience preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Strong critical thinking skills with ability to manage complex patient cases
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred) and cardiac monitoring equipment
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to thrive in collaborative environments
