Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration) accurately and promptly.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring them safely between beds and wheelchairs using proper techniques.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN or Physician.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during the night shift.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and common areas at all times.
Qualifications
- Active CNA or RN license in the State of California.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions during the night shift.
- Physical stamina to lift and move patients (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
